BASIC40: 40-Hour Online Basic Medical Interpreter Training
Option 1: Basic40 (6-Week Program) for pre-admitted students who meet all requirements.
Option 2: Basic40 (10-Week Program) Provisional Acceptance for students who do not currently meet requirements.
The Basic40 Program is only available in English-Spanish at this time. You must apply and be approved to enroll in the 40-Hour Basic Medical Interpreter Program. Fee includes Parts 1, 2, 3. Are you ready to take the Screening Test?
Please click here to sign up for the Screening and Placement Test.Do not enroll until you will receive a letter informing you of the process for enrollment after the Screening is evaluated.
If you meet the minimum requirements, request approval to start immediately. Sign up for Basic40 Program below.
Not ready to take the Screening Test?
We will determine your acceptance on a case-by-case basis. You may sign up for the English Anatomy and Spanish Anatomy Courses (with provisional acceptance) before you take the Screening Test. We will evaluate the Screening Test. After you pass the Screening Test, you will be admitted into the Basic40 Program (10 Weeks). You will then take the MIS Course and the Final Evaluation upon acceptance into the program. Please contact me for approval if you would like to choose this option. Once approved, you may sign up to take the courses.

Basic40 (10-Week Program) with Provisional Acceptance. This is a "Pay-as-you-go Plan" because you will be taking one course at a time (with approval).
